Special issue on kidney stone disease

The special issue on kidney stone disease is published by the Translational Andrology and Urology (Transl Androl Urol; Print ISSN 2223-4683; Online ISSN 2223-4691) (Figure 1), which was launched in September 2014 (www.amepc.org/tau/issue/view/230). This special issue is edited by Prof. Marshall L. Stoller (Figure 2) and Prof. Thomas Chi (Figure 3) from Department of Urology, University of California, San Francisco, California, USA. The editors have assembled a series of remarkably comprehensive reviews by some of the worlds’ foremost endourologists highlighting a few of the interesting topics in endourology.

Urinary stone disease is a frequent challenge for the urologic practitioner. The special issue has made an effort to provide both an overview of the topic at hand and also a perspective on how authors and others approach some of the complex topics faced by endourologists and urologists treating nephrolithiasis on a daily basis. With a growing incidence of urinary stones seen worldwide, the special issue hope to offer an applicable resource for urologic practitioners’ practice (1). The outline of the issue is listed as below.
